2001年、弱冠23歳で監督・脚本・主演を兼ねた『19』（35mm版 / GAGA製作・配給）で長編映画デビュー。
同作はファッションデザイナーのアニエスベー氏に激賞され、パリのジョルジュ・ポンピドゥー国立芸術文化センターで上映。オープニングアクトはアニエスベー氏が務め、世界配給へと発展した。
俳優としても、三池崇史監督『ビジターQ』、ベルリン国際映画祭に正式出品された『カインの末裔』などに出演。
近年は、『新選組オブ・ザ・デッド』において、時代劇のマッシュアップや劇画界の巨匠 叶精作氏とのタッグでマンガ化に挑むなど、ジャンルや作品にとらわれない活動を続けている。

As an actor, he has appeared in Takashi Miike's Visitor Q and Cain's Descendants (Berlinale Forum), and continues to work across film, streaming, and manga.
